RoofRoof Q&A

Are your crews employees or sub-contractors?

When you think of a sub-contractor, you envision a General Contractor calling "Bob's Roofing" or "Tito's Electric" to come out and do the work under his supervision. This decision is often motivated by bottom-line dollars and cents. No one wants to take that gamble with their roof. After all, you're researching and vetting the roofer, not some guy he's hiring because they gave him a dirt-cheap bid.

Our crews only work for us and do nothing else; everyone is a specialist. We do pay them per job and based on the square and pitch of your roof so their compensation can vary weekly. For this reason, we pay them as 1099 contractors, but that's only for tax purposes. They all carry their own Worker's Compensation / Liability insurance and we have an additional umbrella policy on every job site.

Is there a better time of year to install my roof?

Many customers try to wait until the spring when it's raining often and they have to do something right now. Most competing quotes will typically be higher at this time of year. Winter months are the opposite of this. We try to avoid shingle application during freezing temperatures, but can still install when it's cold (35-60 degrees). Shingles can sometimes appear wavy in locations while it's cold out; once spring rolls around and temperatures get into the 70's that goes away and they lay completely flat.

One of your competitors said something bad about your shingles... (that's not a question-ed.)

The shingles we lead with are higher quality and more expensive than "big box shingles" --our massive volume allows us to purchase these at affordable prices and pass the savings on to you; prices our competitors can't offer so they don't quote these.

We 're not blindly loyal to any brand. We install products from dozens of manufacturers. We're only loyal to quality and that is always evolving. Currently, our architectural shingle is the #1 rated product on Researchroofing.com

We looked into shingle lawsuits for all the manufacturers and the products we lead with have BY FAR the fewest negative references that we could uncover online. Look into our competitor's leading products and the results are alarming!
